Hello and welcome to the Bombproof Opossum Gathering. The Gatherthing is more than just a gathering. It is a place to meet folks interested in the outdoors, learn new skills and share knowledge you have with others. It is a place to see, touch and talk about new gear you may be interested, attend classes, have fun and relax with the family. It is being held Sept 4 - 7 2025 at Bluestone State Park in beautiful Hinton, West Virginia.

Welcome to the second annual Bombproof Opossum Gatherthing! Why is it called a Gatherthing? Simply put it will encompass anything outdoor related. If you are into bushcraft, survival, and prepping you will find a group of folks interested in the same. But we are including so much more. Hunting, fishing, trapping, archery, axe throwing, slingshot, living history, camping, hiking and anything else we can include that involves being in the outdoors.

We have limited vender booths, school booths, and event booths available for this event. We are also accepting sponsors and advertisers. It doesn’t matter how you fit in we want to see you there!

Sponsor Booths - $100.00 + 3 raffle prizes (suggested) - The sponsor fee includes the booth fee. The two raffle prizes should be about $20.00 retail a piece. Sponsor booths will be 10x20 or 10x10 (let us know what you need). Sponsors will have the option of setting up camping behind their booth for convenience, however due to camp rules there will be no open fires allowed in that area. Being a sponsor will get your logo posted on our social media content, the website, the event banner, and the tote bags. You will be mentioned at the challenges and have the Grande Prize Raffle to help drive the attendees to your booth. What is this Grande Prize Raffle you ask? For the Grand Prize Raffle each sponsor will be given 10 tickets to distribute at their discretion (ie attendees who spend more than 100 at their booth gets a ticket). The only place to get these tickets is pretty much from you and other sponsorsAlso, in order to bolster attendance and bring in your biggest fans, we give each SPONSOR 10 free passes to give out to their biggest fans, best customers, or whomever they please. You may set up Thursday 4 Sept but please be set up and ready for business by 9am Friday Sept 5 2025. Tear down is Sunday 7 Sept 2025 (we must be out of the park by 12 noon). Sponsors get +2 entree passes to the event when they register (to help watch the booth, conduct business and assist with setup and tear down). Sponsors that return consecutive years in a row get a $30.00 discount off their sponsor fee. Sponsors must be pre-registered, no same day Sponsor registration allowed. If no pre-registration exists, then entry will be granted via attendee ticket only.

Vender Booths $30.00 + raffle prize - All vender booths will be based on either a 10’x10’ or a 10’x20’ footprint (please specify when signing up). Venders will have the option of setting up camping behind their booth for convenience, however due to camp rules there will be no open fires allowed in that area. If you wish to have a fire there will be campsites available through the park office. If you choose to teach a class your booth space is complimentary. Venders are allowed a +1 (person) when they purchase their booth space. You may set up Thursday 4 Sept. but please be set up for business by 9am Friday Sept 5, 2024. School Booths - $30.00 - All School Booths are limited to 10’x10’. You may sell a limited amount of tangible items from 1 table (8’ table). The goal for having schools attend is to promote your school to your target audience. We encourage teaching at the booth space, showing skills, and building a rapport with possible clientele. We also ask that you help out the event by teaching a class. You may sell tickets for classes at the event. Schools will have the option of setting up camping behind their booth for convenience, however due to camp rules there will be no open fires allowed in that area. If you wish to have a fire there will be campsites available through the park office. Schools are allowed +2 (people) when they register for the event. You may set up Thursday 4 Sept. Please be set up for business by 9am Friday September 5, 2025. Tear down is Sunday 7 September 2025, we must be out of the park by 12 noon. Event Booths - $30.00 - All Event Booths (gatherings, pow wows, campouts, etc) are limited to 10’x10’. You will not be allowed to sell any tangible items at your booth, but you are encouraged to promote your event and sell tickets to your event at your booth. Schools will have the option of setting up camping behind their booth for convenience, however due to camp rules there will be no open fires allowed in that area. If you wish to have a fire there will be campsites available through the park office. Events are allowed +1 (person) when registering for the event. You may set up Thursday 4 Sept., but please be set up for business by 9am Friday September 5, 2025. Tear down is Sunday 7 September 2025, we must be out of the park by 12 noon. Events must be pre-registered, no same day event registration allowed. If no pre-registration exists, then entry will be granted via attendee ticket only.

Instructors - free - Instructors for classes will attend the event for free. Instructors will get a plus 1 ticket for an assistant or family member to accompany them. They will have to pay for a campsite if they choose or they can arrange to camp onsite.

Grande Raffle Prize - The attendees will have the opportunity to purchase a tote bag prior to the event and/ or at the event while supplies last. If they purchase before the event, they will be given two free raffle tickets for the grande prize. They can accumulate more tickets by visiting sponsoring venders and qualifying for more tickets according to each sponsors specifications. The tickets may not be bought or sold out right, they can only be earned by qualifying at the sponsors booth. They can also only be earned by folks with a tote bag. Only paying attendees are allowed to participate in the Grand Prize raffle, no one affiliated with the Gatherthing (event staff, volunteers etc), venders, schools, events or those associated with them (during this event) are allowed to participate.

The grande prize is going to be a conglomeration of prizes from the sponsors and vendors.
